Project Summary + Objectives
FOSTERCARE has been designed to increase the qualifications of professionals working with foster families to contribute to the well-being of children in care, the stability of placements and the professional development of those working to support them, the increase in social well-being and the recognition of the activities of foster families.
The main objectives of the project are:
- To identify the needs of professionals working with foster families at European level.
- To increase the basic skills of foster families through the development of professionals.
- To increase the knowledge and skills of professionals.
- To raise awareness of the foster family process.
- To improve the quality of foster family processes.
- To enable children in institutional care to establish healthy and lasting family relationships.
- To produce accessible resources with digital learning tools.

- Professionals who work with foster families: psychologists, educators, social workers, mediators
- Foster families
